The Pittsburgh Penguins will be adding at least two more blue-liners to the lineup this season.
Goalie Marc-Andre Fleury, defenseman Marc-Edouard Vlasic and forward Olli Maatta will all enter the final year of their contracts.
Vlasic, the captain of the Penguins, is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent this summer.
Fleury and Maatta were acquired by the Pittsburgh Pirates in a blockbuster trade in April.
The Penguins will have six defensemen signed this summer and five players with at least one NHL contract.

There have been several rumors surrounding the Penguins this summer, but it’s hard to believe that this deal was done to secure a veteran depth player at the deadline.
The Penguins, however, appear to have the pieces to contend this season, and this deal is a good sign.
