ABC News’ “The Bachelor” is back, this time with a new face, with one of the show’s most popular contestants out and about on social media.
Sophie Laing posted a photo of herself with a picture of her new boyfriend on Tuesday, a day after her longtime boyfriend, former “The Biggest Loser” contestant Josh Haggerty, announced he was gay on Instagram.
Haggerty’s tweet was shared over 200,000 times on Tuesday and has since garnered over 2 million views, according to BuzzFeed.
The tweet came after he announced that he is dating a woman.
Haggs’ announcement comes on the heels of other celebrities who came out publicly on Tuesday.
One of them, former basketball player LeBron James, came out with his own Instagram post in which he described being in a relationship with a woman who had previously dated a woman, though he didn’t name her.
In an Instagram post, James said the relationship had been an “unbelievable experience” and said the “tension” was “just unbelievable.”
James is one of a number of athletes who have been openly gay since coming out in November.
“I just wanted to share that with you guys,” James wrote.
“I’m not ashamed of who I am, and I’m proud to be who I’m, and just wanna let you know, this isn’t going to change anything.
The truth is, it’s a process, it takes time, and we’ll get through it.
It’s a journey, and if you’re not comfortable in it, I’m here to help you through it.”
The Bachelor airs on ABC Sundays at 9 p.m. ET.
